Coby Archa’s Journal – Day 2

July 03, 2009 By: Admin Category: Survivor Cast

So I am waking up surprisingly spry! I have had a steady burst of energy through most of this, almost like I had a cup of coffee. I am finding it hard to concentrate though and my obsession with food disgust is never far from my mind. I almost ‘accidentally’ ate several times yesterday. Almost licked the knife making my daughter a peanut butter and jelly sandwich for school, grabbed a piece of chocolate at work (thanks Devon for stopping me). It was funny at the time just how easy it was to grab some food without thinking. Now of course, it has a deeper thought of how lucky we are that food is so EASY for us to grab without thinking. I don’t know what we can do as Americans to retrain ourselves to ‘think’ before eating? Well nobody is perfect but for 3 days…I am trying. The thought of watching my daughter starve and not knowing where to have her next meal is bringing me to tears. Bless and peace to everyone in the world who has to think too much about where they will get their next meal.
