Coby’s Journal - Day 2, part 2
Normally I wouldn’t address negative press on a site that is trying to do something so positive but I think they have a good point…

I understand how some people may think we are doing this just for a ‘look at me’ point of view. I mean we were just contestants on a reality show, who do we think we are?
But I also know that other people are seeing that with a small pebble we are trying to make a big wave. I know me in my spoiled life not eating for 3 days does nothing for the pain and suffering for the people in Darfur and what they are going through. I know it isn’t like I am passing out medical supplies (their president has put a stop to that) to the children that are displaced (THOUGH I WOULD LOVE TO PLEASE SOMEONE READING THIS HELP MAKE THAT HAPPEN AND ALL 5 OF US WOULD BE ON A PLANE). I know to some what we are doing is silly. But to me..it is a beginning. If it wasn’t for Mia I would have known anything about these peoples plight. And education of the problem is a start but this article is sooooo right…where does it finish?
