4.7 million more
There are another 4.7 million people dependent on aid inside of Darfur. They share a similar experience as Adef, Adam, Kadija, Dajhima, Fatna, Husna and Oumar. They were once a sustainable farming community who also kept herds of goats, sheep, camels, and donkeys. Over the past six years they have been forced to leave their villages, now only ashes in the sand, and their way of life. Many live in displacement camps, and have gathered outside of cities hoping for some relief. As we approach the rainy season, those who were once accessible will be cut off from the little aid that is left for months. Just like us, they are all individuals that make up our global community, Humanity.
